Conceptual design
I will help verify the design intent for feasibility, manufactability, least time, cost estimation on my part, design data, parameter requirement, data establishment and document deliverable.
2D layout
I work with hand sketch and any 2D drawing. Will prove read and verify the design intent, dimension, tolerance and pin-point any obscure object that may or may not applicable to the practical design.
3D modeling
I am capable of taking your virtual design idea into 3D object. I will converse the 2D to 3D part using Pro/Engineer (WF3) or SolidWorks to accomplish the task. Since I have extensive experience with surface design, sheet metal, solid part and detailed drawing, this will use less time to have to actual 3D model of the realistic product as well as design documentation ready.
Design verification
I will put all the parts together in the assembly mode creating a realistic product. Then do analysis based upon Mechanical Engineering principle, tolerance and functionality. Provide analysis data, simulation video scrip and final look of the product.
Detailed drawings
You should be aware of Detailed drawing. It uses more time to accomplish the task than modeling them. I will create all detailed drawings for the piece part, sub assembly, and autual product assembly. They will be based upon industry practice of GD&T from ANSI Y14.5, ASME Y14.5M, or ISO standard.
Documentation
I will provide every things I created. I also help establish the PDM, Pro/Intralink or assist on how to handle Agile system if your company have one. I will deliver the final product with electronic files as well as PDF files. All print-out drawings or procedure cost will be arranged.
Prototype
I can help assisted in establishing assembly method and manufacturing process as well as support engineering and manufacturing tools. I also assist with out-source vendors for machined part, razor-cut sheet metal and material selection.
Tooling
I design and develop tool in various step of product packaging for R&D engineering as well as Manufacturing engineering. Tooling cover from design verification test (DVT) to Manufacturing test (MVT). Most tools include fixture, piece part adapter supporting commercial tools and equipments and write procedure on how to use tools, fixtures and equipments.
Manufacturing process
I can help establish or improve manufacturing process. Tooling creation, optimization and implementation that involves process throughput, scab elimination, procurement, prevention, corrective action and vendor qualification.
Pilot run
I can help with NPI process. Transferring product from R&D to manufacturing environment which includes optimizing tools, ramp-up manufacturing throughput, finalized and released manufacturing procedures.
High-volume manufacturing
I can help optimize tooling for automation.
